Thanks for kinds words about Balancer.
We try to make Balancer the best tool for decimation.
Zbrush Decimation master is a good decimation tool,
but Balancer is more robust (no mesh artifacts, skinny triangles etc),
faster, needs much less resources and thus can work easily
with very large models.

You may take a look at some comparison of
Zbrush Decimation master vs Balancer here:
http://forums.luxology.com/discussion/topic.aspx?id=40386

Balancer also has very fast hierarchy navigation to quickly
select your required level of decimation, and allows fine
control over decimation results like: fixed vertices and
selected density control.

Balancer 2.0 will have a really cool new feature
to simplify models down to specified error tolerance.
So you can instantly get guaranteed desired quality
with optimal decimation.
The release candidate of Balancer 2.0 will be publicly available
within a week.

Hi
Just a quick question about version numbers. I have just bought Balancer and in my account section there is a download link for Balancer2 but after install I have version 1.5.0.360 .. is this right ?

thanks

That's correct.
The download link will be pointed to Balancer 2.0
when it is available.
Sorry for confusion. We needed to do this for
customers who buy Balancer 1.5 and get Balancer 2.0
when it is ready.

Thank you for purchasing Balancer.
Hope you will find it very useful.
